Hello all,
The forum has been updated, and a lot of things have changed.
There are bookmark-links at the bottom of each thread, these can be used to make other people, that may not be members, aware of interesting threads.
A new addition are tags - these can be used to indicate the contents a thread, far better than a simple title can. For example, a review of a performance in New York, in Joe's Pub on May 5th, could have the tags "review, joe's pub, new york, may 5th, 2008" and so on. If the night was particularly noisy, for instance, someone might add the tag "noisy" to the thread, thereby increasing the usefulness of the forums for everyone.
At the moment the thread starter can add 5 tags to his/her own thread, and everybody (excluding guests - you have to be logged in) can add 2. We will be introducing a "tag team", whose job it will be to tag all threads on the forums. This is a big job, which is why we will be asking forum users to help us do it. More information about this will come.
If you notice at the bottom, a new box "Similar Threads" has been added. This is just as it seems - it will try to suggest other threads you might be interested in, based on the current one you're viewing.
Also make sure to notice the new "look" in your profile information.
In the meantime, as always, please inform us of anything weird you notice, or ask us any questions you might have. Either in this thread or via PM.
