Secret Gig

On Friday evening (12th January) I was a very fortunate guest at a "secret" gig from Tina and her full band at a small rehearsal room in Copenhagen.
There were a total of about 30 people in attendance, made up of friends, family and some competition winners from the Danish forum site.

Serve-yourself Tuborg beer on tap, naked flame candles and comfy sofas set the atmosphere for an intimate performance.

Tina used the occaision to showcase some of her new songs from her next album, which she's starting to record today in the Denmark Radio studios in Copenhagen and should be released later this year in Denmark (start of 2008 in RoW).

New songs such as On The Run, My Business and You Know Better Than Me which had previously been added to her Danish live set were joined with completely new appearances such Night Cab, Strong Man, Get To Know You and Sacre Coeur (all working titles which may - or may not make it to the next long player).

As a live artist, Tina has become one of the finest performers currently on the scene. On the strength of the new songs previewed at this secret evening, the new album could be the jewel in the crown of royally accomplished singer and wordsmith.

It was totally AWESOME! Phil describes it very well. It was quite entertaining to see Tina and the band be a little more relaxed on stage. There were time for jokes, mistakes etc. which just added to the relaxed atmosphere. A tremendous evening!

I don't know how many attended from this forum, but we were around 16 fans from the danish forum. Some of which are also registred in here.
