Forgive me if this is the wrong forum to post this in, but here i am, a newby, saying hi to the fellow Tina Dico fans on here
Paul, 27 (as of a few days ago anyway) from Liverpool England.
how i got into Tina's music: i think it was from an piece in the Daily Star newspaper recommending her just as her In The Red album came out. i've found some good music through those recommendations (such as Nerina Pallot before she made it bigish), so i gave it a go and bought the record. have to admit that after a few listens i was less than impressed. it was ok, but a little dull. i do blame this on being obsessed with music and buying WAY too much music to give an album a chance to grow on me, but a first impression is a first impression and so the cd was confined to my cabinet of ok music.
i did give the record a few more chances, but still nothing appealed to me, until i began organising my collection by storing it on my PC. after copying In The Red to my pc, i pressed play and Losing started. then, suddenly, the album got me, i found myself fascinated by the sounds from my speakers, the repeat button quickly pressed
since then the cd has never been far from my playlist, the songs never far from my Ipod. the itunes acoustic session further confirmed that this was something special i was hearing (magic is an incredible song, such a brutal and harsh account of the one night stand). far followed, then fuel, waiting for Notes and the DVD.
so this is me, that is my story, just thought i'd say hi :-)
