I feel the need to convey some info to Tina’s web fans especially the ones here in
Vancouver. For those of you at the show last night you know how good it was, and for me a “virgin” (her word) to a Tina show it was great to see her do her thing live, and damn the girl is tall – 6 foot in those pumps!
So Joe Purdy came on and he was great! He might disagree because we are all our worst critics but Joe was funny and trust me Joe, we enjoyed every minute.
Tina was of course Tina and quite funny too, and the Danish accent is now mixed with a British one, I’d say 80/20 mostly Danish. And what can I say that hasn’t already been said about a Tina show, although she had some kind of technical problem (some buzzing noise?) that she complained about but I personally didn’t notice and don’t think anyone else did either.
It was a smaller crowd with a 6:30 start time on a Thursday but I think this probably benefited those that made it, it was a very relaxing evening, and I got a chance to speak to the girl and I don’t think she’ll mind me telling you a couple things that she told me – mainly for Vancouver fans. I was oversensitive to the talking in the back because I read here in the forum that there was a lot of talking last time she was here. Well, I asked her flat out if she thought we were a good audience (making no reference to the chatters) but she said without hesitation that we were!! :) She asked me why I asked and I told her what I had read about the last time she was here, but Vancouver, she told me the main issue last time was a large table of Danish girls near the front who chatted through the show.
So Vancouver fans, have no fear, she thinks we’re groovy, and for those of you who couldn’t make it last night, my condolences.
