Before this brand spanking new forum came into existence - there was a thread about Tina's song with Euphoria and I just wondered where we got with that because it was AMAZING on CSI.

Never heard of it pal
You need to listen to the first 30 seconds of Series 6 Episode 16 for a tantalsing piece of this great new song. I checked out the www.rounder.com/euphoria site where there's details of the new Euphoria album, Precious Time, but alas, Sleeper is not on it. There are two songs, 'Blue' and 'Sinners and Saints' with Tina on vocals, so the album is a must buy anyway :-)

For weeks i looked for info on this song. And finally tracked down the artist & song. Through my search an email was given to Tina and I received a reply from Tina (honest) and she stated she did not know a release date. She thought it may be added later on iTunes as a "purchase with album only" type deal. However she did not specify if it would be her album or Euphoria's. Let's hope it doesnt take too long for release. Can't wait to hear more than the lil snippet from CSI.

Here are the lyrics she posted prior to the change, i gotta tell ya, i am crazy about this song and it's sound!
Sleeper
7 in the morning
Haven’t slept at all, I
I’ve been gazing round the room
And round the corners of my mind
Feeling every nerve inside my body so tight
The strangest things
I never used to notice in my life
Cause you make me move
And you make me want to get closer
To the edge of you
To the high I’ll never get over
And you make me fall
And you make me want to go deeper
You’re a wake-up call
To this eternal sleeper
Streetlights through the blinds they slice the darkness, I see
Cobwebs catching light in every corner of me
Voices through the walls they speak of you and only
You...

I hope its a long song like 5mins - I would die to hear it in full! I watched the first seconds of CSI and heard "7 in the morning" and I was like STOP STOP STOP who is this!!!!!!!!!!
Tina you must make the song available - it is the best ambient song I have ever heard.

Has this CSI episode been show in the UK?
I don't think so. The episode aired on March 2, 2006 here in the US and it is from the current season. I think I read somewhere on another board that the UK is behind a season or two...

Just had a look at the website of Channel 5 which shows CSI in the UK and found out that this week they showed season 6 episode 9 so episode 16 should be on in around 6 weeks time.
Hope to catch it then!

I don't think so, someone on another post or site remarked that if the song isnt released before it hits the UK airwaves that the interest in it is going to explode!

Euphoria wrote on Tina's myspace site today:
Thanks for singing on "Sleeper" - recently featured on CSI.
It will be the bonus album track on my new CD, Precious Time available on iTunes April 11th.

I don't believe so, i don't live in the UK but the chatter i have heard seems to indicate it hasn't.
Good News from Euphoria, here's the quote about the song
"Many have asked, so here's the deal.
Yes, "Sleeper" was featured on a recent episode of CSI. It's a song I recorded with Tina Dico and it will be available as a bonus album track @ iTunes.
Thanks all."
I am hoping that means on the 11th when the new CD is released it will be part of it.

Haha, indeed, indeed. ;)
Just curious to see if anyone has downloaded the Euphoria CD. I see it is available on iTunes and Sleeper is indeed on it as a bonus track, so you have to purchase the entire CD to get it.
My computer died, so I'm on a borrowed computer. Waiting until I am up and running again before I download it.

OMG...cannot tell you how incredible the song is. It was well worth the wait!
Ya gotta get it!
Skye, hope you get your pc up and running!
I was waiting to see if Sleeper would somehow appear as track 13 on the Euphoria CD, but unfortunately it didn't. So I had to buy from iTunes. But it was certainly worth the download. This song is great!! The rest of the album is OK as well !

Must agree...the song is super, and the rest of the album is good also.
I found it fascinating that the song that Tina does as Sleeper is also on the album as track 9, Anyone Can Lose, with vocals by Tracy Bonham :-) But I like the Tina melody much more !

Er...they sound alike at the start, but I believe the songs are not the same. Here is a post from Amazon about the album which is interesting:
Amazon.com
Fans of Euphoria's earlier semi-chilled CDs of ambient Americana might be taken aback by the nasty blues snarl of "Back Against the Wall," the opening track of this third Euphoria CD. Sounding like the J. Geils Band circa 1975, guitarist Ken Ramm unleashes a backsliding electric blues scrawl over a crushing four-on-the-floor groove and doesn't let up until Howard Levy drops in with some gut-bucket harmonica. Since their semi-hit "Delirium" on the first CD, Euphoria has traded on an organic brand of electronica, picking up on Moby's rustic roots sampling ethos. But instead of samples, Euphoria boasted the real guitar playing of Ramm. On Precious Time, he dials up some changes, with Steve Sidelynk (Madonna, Massive Attack) mixing live drums with the programmed rhythms for an even more organic sound. In addition, vocalists top out several tunes. Tina Dico, who has sung with Zero 7, adds a sophisticated yearning cadence to the song called "Blue," and her "Sinners and Saints" is a strong bid for a pop single. Tracy Bonham brings her soulful voice to the mournful, yet still propulsive, title track. But most of Precious Time is instrumental, with "Cowboys" and "The Getaway" returning to the more countrified electronica of earlier CDs. Euphoria is still an exploration in sound, even at their most pop. Ramm mixes fingerstyle guitar with Indian tabla drums and vocal percussion on the aforementioned "Blue," and goes purely acoustic on the solo 12-string-guitar idyll, "The Glendale Train." "Vapor," an impressionistic 10-minute excursion composed with Brian Eno's Oblique Strategy cards, is an odd closer for an album that otherwise relentlessly lives up to the Euphoria name and promise. --John Diliberto
Product Description
The music Euphoria makes is truly unique: lush, sweeping soundscapes which blend acoustic and slide guitars with modern electronica and trip-hop to create a sound that has been dubbed "guitronica." Euphoria's music has struck a chord with listeners over their first two albums, earning radio chart success and garnering placements in TV commercials for Nissan, Lee Jeans, and Apple (iPod), films such as "Vanilla Sky" and "Hidalgo" and television shows such as "CSI," "Malcolm in the Middle" and "Roswell." The third Euphoria album is the strongest yet, filled with an energized blend of slide guitar and psychedelia as well as stunning vocal tracks featuring Tina Dico (Zero 7) and Tracy Bonham. With this release Euphoria is poised to become a household name among guitar aficionados and electronic music lovers alike

Sinners and Saints
You know your sinners from your saints
Making a point when it suits you
You know your reasons to complain
Nobody gets what you go through
But I miss you and the love that you keep from your eyes
Yeah I miss you and the truth that you hide in your lies
Oh I miss you and the way that you say your goodbyes
You wouldn't know where to begin
To settle for less than the sure thing
You wouldn't know where to get out
Out of the holes that you're digging
But I miss you and the way you keep running away
Yeah I miss you and the way you've got nothing to say
And I miss you and the time that you waste everyday
Yeah I miss you and knowing I can't make you stay
No, I could never make you stay
It takes close-ups to make love appear
It takes courage to make love sincere
It takes distance to make love clear
I'm still here
I wouldn't know where to begin
I wouldn't know how to get in
But I miss you and the love that you keep from your eye
Yeah I miss you and the truth that you hide in your lie
Yeah I miss you and the way you've got nothing to say
Yeah I miss you and the time that you waste everyday
Yeah I miss you and the way you keep running away
Yeah I miss you and knowing I can't make you stay...

I don't have any corrections :) Thanks!
I love the whole song, it's great- and the lyrics as well ..
As someone who is very 'old-school,' I prefer a tangible product, i.e. a physical CD with artwork and full CD-quality audio, not limited MP3 sound, and I get really frustrated at these increasing situations where you not only have to buy a new release twice to get one extra song, but the extra song isn't even on a CD.
I have no problem with people who prefer the 'convenience' of downloads, don't care about artwork, lyrics or musician/writer credits and genuinely can't hear the audio limitations of the MP3 format because they only listen to music through their ipod headphones; however, I do have a real problem with artists not issuing those tracks on a CD somewhere for the fans who prefer a physical, high-quality audio product, either as a Japanese bonus cut, or on a CD single, etc. I'd be perfectly happy to buy a Japanese pressing of the Precious Time CD with "Sleeper" as a bonus cut, except there isn't any. It doesn't appear Precious Time was released there at all. So, I can buy the CD and not get "Sleeper," buy the download and get reduced sound quality and no artwork or credits or buy the CD AND also the download just to get the one track, which of course still won't be on a tangible disc with the rest of the album's songs.
Bottom Line: I would like to make one purchase of Euphoria's Precious Time on CD and enjoy the excellent song "Sleeper," and they have made this a logistical impossibility unless I'm willing to re-purchase the full album a 2nd time in an inferior format merely to obtain one song which—surprise!—isn't available for purchase separately.
Bravo to the occasional artist who draws the line in the sand and says: "Here is my new album, my current artistic statement. It has the exact same songs in every country and every format so my fans have the choice to buy it in whatever medium they prefer, and any extra tracks will be offered as both downloads and CD singles so no one is left out or compelled to re-purchased something they already own just to get those extra tracks."
